Diane Lentz
Co-Director
Diane has been teaching at BMS for 49 years. She received her certification from the St. Nicholas Training Center in London, England. She enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and working with children in the Montessori classroom.

Doreen Natour
Co-Director & Teacher
Doreen has 20+ years of experience with teaching international children in Palestine, Connecticut, Jordan, and Kentucky. Her education includes a Montessori Certification, which she received early in her teaching career from Jerusalem, Isreal and a bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the American University of London. Doreen is passionate about teaching, spending time with her family and friends, traveling and cooking.

Mia Bull
Teacher
Mia was born and grew up in South Africa. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Natal, Durban, followed by a post grad year in Higher Education at UNISA. She taught biology, math and science in Middle and High school for 8 years. After completing her Montessori Certification for 3-6 year olds, she moved to the USA with her family and taught at Southern Hills Montessori (now Bluegrass Montessori) for 17 years before moving to Florida. There she was Lead teacher at Innovation Montessori of Ocoee for 4 years. Throughout her career she has enjoyed teaching children of all ages but found her passion in becoming a Montessori teacher for this age group where the foundation is laid for the child’s educational future. In her free time, she loves spending time with family, especially her 5 adorable grandchildren.

Christina Netzel
Teacher
Christina is AMS/NAMC trained. She quickly fell in love with the Montessori philosophy and has been at BMS since 2011 , the last five as a Lead Teacher. She was raised in Lebanon, KY and has lived in Lexington for the last 14 years. She enjoys cooking, outdoor activities such as hiking and gardening.

Lana Sculli
Teacher
Lana has her Masters degree in Education from the University of Kyrgyzstan. She majored in Linguistics and American Literature and has been a high school and college teacher. She earned her Montessori certification from the North American Montessori Center and has been teaching at BMS since 2016. In her free time Lana loves to spend her time with her husband and son as well as cooking, gardening and reading.

Anitha Venkatesu
Teacher
Anitha has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She is originally from India, and has been living in Lexington Kentucky since 2010. She has more than 2 years of experience working with children in a Montessori and Elementary school setting and enjoys every aspect of teaching. Anitha has been at BMS since 2017. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, dancing and traveling with family and friends.

Jillian Heierman
Teacher
Jillian graduated from Morehead State University in 2017. She is presently completing her Montessori training and is excited to be working with the children at Bluegrass Montessori School. She enjoys soccer, church activities, live music, and going to UK games!

Kimberly Wilson
Teacher
Kimberly was born and raised in Lexington, KY. She graduated from Lafayette High School and studied Early Childhood Development. She’s been working with preschool children for over 13 years. She’s also active in her church’s Sunday School program. During her free time she likes to hangout with her two nephews and enjoy a good book.

Taylor Polk
Substitute Teacher
Taylor Polk is an upcoming Sophomore at the University of Kentucky pursuing a major in Education. For the past 2 years, she volunteered her time at our school helping out in the classroom and after school program. Taylor commits herself wholeheartedly to the Montessori community, and is very passionate about working with kids.
